Colourful covered dining brings new life to Drummond Street

In a collaborative effort between Drummond Street traders, Jan Kattein Architects and Camden Council, celebrating the revival of one of London’s oldest food hubs, home to a diverse range of humble family-run restaurants. The Drummond Streatery was designed to provide safe outside dining space for independent restaurants in the wake of the COVID pandemic.

Developing vibrantly coloured modular booths to sit in front of several restaurants in former parking spaces. Designed to be modular, re-configuarable and removable.

Processes include: CAD design, joinery, metalwork and bracketry, upholstery of roofs, and electrics.
